A Frugal Fall Gift

Apart from blogging, bargain shopping, and parenting, I also moonlight as a part-time preschool teacher. Today was our Thanksgiving celebration, and the last day of school before our break.

Below are the teacher appreciation gifts my co-teacher and I were presented with today. Aren't they adorable? And frugal, I might add, so I just had to share.

These are re-purposed paint cans, dressed up with ribbon and scrap book paper. They were filled with sweet notes from our students.

Just imagine the possibilities! You could fill them with cookies, chocolates, or my personal favorite, gift cards. These are a creative alternative to the traditional gift basket.

I will certainly treasure this special gift. As a teacher, it is so nice to feel appreciated.

I love this idea. They would make great desk organizers for pens. I may make a few to give out for Christmas, as well!

These are so cute! You could find different buckets to do a variety of sizes or even use them as a planters on an indoor window sill. Thanks for sharing!

I love decorating paint cans and giving them away stuffed with gifts. If you haven't painted lately, you can also purchase paint cans at your local craft store. They're about $4 or $5 and sometimes you can get them in two different sizes. These are really pretty.
